Who am I?

My name is Terje Dahl Bergersen.
I was born September the 13th,1972 - at Aker Sykehus (Hospital) in Oslo,Norway.

I have now successfully moved back to Nittedal with my girlfriend May.

Current Projects:

The Gnostic Society in the Kingdom of Norway.
<- this is the society which I founded the winter of 1994, before I became acquianted with Jan Valentin Saether and participated in the ministry and practical approach of Ecclesia Gnostica. It is possible the GSN will be absorbed into the Bruchion Gnostic Center under the direction of Jan Valentin Saether.

Growing out of that, came my interest in issues which I intended

Entheos-A Journal for Gnosis and Tradition.
- to address. Like GSN it is somewhat dormant as a project.

Participating in the ministry of Ecclesia Gnostica Norvegia - at its Chapel Capella Santa Sophia, in Oslo, under the direction of Revd.Jan Valentin Saether. To those who know something about this modern heterodox tradition of sacramental christianity. Most recently I was ordained an Exorcist in the minor orders..I have participated in the activities of this Order since the autumn of 1995.

Education:

I started out trying to become a chef. I took a one year course in highschool named
"Chef and Waitor" - I became neither. It took me half a year trying to survive the stress
and worries as an assistant to sort that out. I still love the culinary arts, but prefer to sit at the table rather than wrestle with ingredients and paraphenalia in the Kitchen.

After I finished that course, I decided to study "Creative writing and the arts" at a Folkehøyskole, it´s a boarding school for adult (+18) youths.I liked that very much, having lived "at home" for 17 years,it was the kind of break I needed to get some stuff in perspective. During that stay in Western desolation and constant rain, I became infected with Melancholia and a penchant for dramatic prose and enchanting poetry, for Philosophizing..and Red Wine. I aspird to become a novelist, be published ... and participate in the community of literates... and got rejected by the publishing company´s more than I care to count over... they were, regretably, completely within their rights to do so..

Here in Norway, you don´t live off the arts - Art lives off you..so Eventually I considered getting myself an education in Graphic Design,Layout and Illustration. I have a combined "training" and education in that direction of almost 1 1/2 years.. but I have worked with computers and other tools in 14 years time now.

I am planning to upgrade my skills in this department, among other things, achieve a Certificate as Adobe Certified Expert for Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Pagemaker (possibly also for GoLive). I am also interested in the Flash technology which has inspired and enthused my brother, Jarle , so much. Me and my brother "was there", when the Internet caught wind in its sails here in Norway, first indirectly through our dabbling with Bulletin Board Systems (me on my Amiga1200, he, eventually on a Intel PC .. since then I have converted to the Mac platform, and he has continued on Windows and Linux based computers..).. then on Oslonett, one of the first private and affordable ISP`s in Norway, which eventually, in 1997 (we began using it in 1994,I seem to remember) were taken over by the stateowned Telecompany called Televerket, then Telenor, the Nextra etc. Around 1994 I got acquianted with the Whole Earth Lectronic Link, the WELL, a more social and active "alternative-minded" community based in California - Telnetting there for a chat, a debate in the different forums..a stroll in the virtual pastures of their MUD (Multi-User-Dungeon) - which induced me to experiment with simple programming...gave me a refreshing new perspective on "the net".. Through its forums I came in contact with contemporary practitioners and philosophers in the Gnostic orientation... feedback on my lonely musings on life, the universe and everything else...theraphy perhaps...later I have found that I spent too much time on the net communicating, and too little in so-called "real life" situations... the last 3 or 4 years have repaired that situation somewhat.

Just recently I have begun dabbling with blogging (which is short for logging interests, issues, thoughts etc. through the medium called a "weblog"). I hope to get substance, style and format in order eventually..presently it is looking much like my "old site", which is indeed my old site in many ways... created in 1999...last century, man!

Newest developement: I am working as an assistant registerer at
the National Museum Project, subdivision Zoological Museum in Oslo
registering information about the specimens in the collections to a ORACLE based database. Its nice work, I think.

Interests:

I consider myself a Christian and a Gnostic (not agnostic, but Gnostic!).
My temperament is the combination of a Mystic, a Philosopher,an Artist, a Poet and a Magician.I have a lasting interest in Literature,Art,History,Theatre,
Cinema,Music,Philosophy and Religion.
